Collaboration & knowledge exchange – a two-way street

John is a knowledge transfer champion in the Cultural, Communication and Computing Research Institute (C3RI) at Sheffield Hallam University. His role is to promote and develop activities in which Sheffield Hallam academic staff advise, assist and support businesses, particularly where these activities may involve the Digital Region high speed broadband initiative in South Yorkshire.
Virtual collaboration has been made so much easier with internet technologies, particularly social media, but there’s something that doesn’t quite beat getting together face-to-face with people to creatively explore and solve problems.
One of our aims in doing CollaboJam is to surface the different spaces and places that collaborators use to ‘get their jam on’ – where do you go in the Sheffield City Region that lends itself to working successfully with others, or that gives you the kind of scenery and ambience to be creative and innovative?
